Before you check your tire or reach for a jack, your life is the priority.
- Find a Safe Spot: Move your vehicle as far away from moving traffic as possible. If you are on a highway like the E11 or E311, try to reach an exit or a dedicated breakdown shoulder.

- A spare tire (check the pressure!)
- A lug wrench
- A jack
- Vehicle owner's manual
Steps to Change a Tire
- Secure the Vehicle: Ensure the car is on flat ground, in 'Park', and the parking brake is fully engaged.
- Loosen the Lug Nuts: Use the wrench to loosen the nuts in a star pattern. Do not remove them yet.
- Position the Jack: Place the jack under the vehicle's metal frame (refer to your manual for the exact "jack point").
- Raise the Car: Lift the car until the flat tire is about 6 inches off the ground.
- Swap the Tires: Remove the lug nuts, pull the flat tire off, and slide the spare tire onto the hub.
- Tighten by Hand: Put the lug nuts back on and tighten them as much as you can by hand.
- Lower and Final Tighten: Lower the jack until the wheel touches the ground. Use the wrench to tighten the nuts firmly in a star pattern.
